Rasulullah SAW ketika menggambarkan tentang Bani Tamim berpesan: “Janganlah kamu mengatakan sesuatu terhadap Bani Tamim melainkan sesuatu yang baik-baik sahaja ”. Sabda Nabi SAW:“ Mereka itu (Bani Tamim) adalah dari kaum kami”Hadith dan selainnya yang mengakui Bani Tamim sebagai sabahagian dari kaum Baginda SAW merupakan satu pengiktirafan terhadap suku pilihan ini.
Imam At-Tabrani menyatakan: “Bani Tamim terkenal tetap pendirian, berjiwa besar, jelas cita-cita, amat memusuhi Dajjal diakhir zaman, cukup tahan menghadapi apa saja halangan. Bani Tamim tidak akan tergugat dengan sebarang halangan, ancaman dan penentangan dari mana-mana pihak yang mahu memudharatkan perjuangan mereka”.
Diriwayatkan oleh Saiyidina Abbas RA. ketika turunnya ayat: Yang bererti:“ Dan (wahai Muhammad) mulakanlah memberi peringatan kepada kaum keluargamu yang terdekat “, lantas ketika itu Baginda SAW. menyeru: “ wahai Bani Fihr, Wahai Bani ‘Adiey”,…memanggil kelompok asal umat arab iaitu termasuk di dalamnya Bani Tamim…” Terdapat banyak riwayat hadith yang menunjukkan pengakuan Rasulullah saw. Bahawa Bani Tamim adalah termasuk dalam kaum / suku kesayangan Baginda
